Chile Investment Symposium Held in Vienna
On October 18, 2011, Equitas Capital and the Chilean embassy in Vienna hosted a successful symposium on Trade Relations, Private Equity and Renewable Energy at the Palais Coburg in Vienna.
The Symposium, held in the Framework of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Chile, presented opportunities, incentives and services that Chile offers as an investment destination for Austrian and other regional investors in the context of the Association Agreement between the EU and Chile.
The Chilean Ambassador in Austria, H.E. Mr. Alfredo Labbé, opened the conference, followed by presentations by the Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs Mission of Chile to the EU, Mr. Rafael Sabar, Ms. Valeska Kuschel Rietzsch, Business Development Officer of PROChile, and Mr. Cristián Shea, CEO of Equitas Capital. Former Prime Minister of Austria, Dr. Alfred Gusenbauer, provided closing remarks.
The Symposium was followed by a get-together & selection of exquisite Chilean cuisine and wine, a sampling of the quality products available in Chile.
Attendants were presented with the latest developments in investment opportunities, private equity, technology transfer and innovation between Chile and Austria, and had the opportunity to establish contacts for future investment projects.
