Mr. Cristián Shea

Mr. Shea is a founder of Equitas Capital. Prior to that, he founded Latinvalley, a venture capital fund for South America.
Mr. Shea sits on the board of directors of several privately held companies and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of LASPAU (Harvard University affiliate).
Mr. Shea graduated from Yale Law School in 1998 (LL.M.) and was admitted to practice law in New York in 2000 and in Chile in 1994.
Mr. Vicente Pérez
Director, Equitas Capital SpA
Mr. Pérez has over 22 years of experience in Chilean fisheries and fish farming businesses.
Mr. Perez has served as Managing Director of Congelados Pacífico S.A. from 1993 to 2008. Previously, he was the Deputy Managing Director of Pacific Protein S.A., a company controlled by Cultor and Ewos from Finland, and the General Manager of Pacific Fisheries S.A.
Mr. Pérez has been a board member of several seafood-related companies in Chile and abroad, where he also participated as a partner and an executive especially focused on international development.
Mr. Pérez personally led the purchase and sale of various companies, as well as the creation of associations, marketing alliances and short- and long-term management strategies for the companies he has represented.
Currently, Mr. Perez holds a position on the board of directors of Aquachile, one of Chile’s largest aquaculture companies; Hidronor Chile, a waste management company; and eClass, a corporate learning and business English provider in Chile.
Mr. Jaime Carey
Director, Equitas Capital SpA
Mr. Carey has 32 years of legal experience in corporate finance, M&A, project finance and tax in Chile and Peru and has been lead counsel for many of the largest transactions. He is the Managing Partner of Carey y Cía. and co-head of the firm’s Tax Group.
Mr. Carey is currently a member of the board of directors of Austin International Inc., MetLife Chile S.A. and Evercrisp S.A. (Frito Lay Chile). He is also a member of the Chilean Bar Association and past Co-Chair of the Corporate Section, member of the Taxation Committee and Council Member of the Legal Practice Division of the International Bar Association.
In 1981, Mr. Carey acted as an Assistant Professor of Taxation at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Before joining Carey y Cía., he worked at Steel, Hector & Davis, in Miami, Florida (1979).
Mr. Carey studied law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and was admitted to the Bar in 1979. He attended ICADE and the Universidad de Deusto, Spain (1972-1975). Thereafter, he was a semi-finalist in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C. (1978). Additionally, he attended the Program of Instruction for Lawyers at Harvard Law School, Massachusetts, USA (1986).
